Senior Vice President, Engineering
Mr. Pimentel, Senior Vice President of Engineering, joined NORESCO in 1996 upon the acquisition of Pequod Associates, Inc., a pioneering energy and water use efficiency firm that he founded in 1977. He oversees all project engineering, development, design, and performance verification for NORESCO’s projects.
As a mechanical engineer with 50 years of industry experience, Mr. Pimentel is a nationally recognized authority in the field of industrial energy and water use efficiency. He has directed the engineering of more than a half billion dollars of projects in facilities ranging from large-scale industrial production operations to military bases and college and university campuses. His engineering expertise covers a full range of technologies, including analysis, design and modeling of lighting and water systems to expansive HVAC systems and central boiler, chiller and cogeneration plants. He leverages his extensive experience as a mentor to NORESCO’s Engineering Group and is actively involved in the ongoing training and professional development of the top engineering team in the energy services industry.
Mr. Pimentel has held leadership and committee roles with numerous industry organizations, including service as a member of the Industrial Water Conservation Committee of the American Water Works Association (AWWA). He is a past President of the New England Chapter of the Association of Energy Engineers.
Mr. Pimentel earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering and Applied Physics at Harvard University in 1965 and began his career as an Engineering Officer in the United States Navy.
