    The New Technologies breakfast is a concise and informative forum for the GLOBALCON attendees to preview the new and innovative products and services on display at the show. Presenting exhibitors will provide brief, 5-8 minute presentations on their newest technologies, enabling attendees to quickly map out their time at the show, and get a rapid survey of what's new. This is a must-attend event for anyone responsible for providing trip reports or technology summaries. Featured presenter Lindsay Audin, President of the New York-based energy consulting firm Energywiz, Inc. will speak on the topic, "Why It Is Important for Men to Mentor Women." Mr. Audin's firm has served large energy users, government agencies and energy suppliers in both the U.S. and abroad since 1996. The Council on Women in Energy and Environmental Leadership (CWEEL) seeks to develop a prominent voice for women in the industry, and to contribute to the advancement of women in leadership positions throughout the industry.     Please join the New Jersey and Greater Philadelphia Chapter of AEE
    for a luncheon and chapter meeting. Elizabeth Ackerman, Acting Director of the Division of Economic Development and Energy Policy at the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities will speak on BPU Update on Clean Energy Programs, covering the funding for clean energy projects from the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities and the outreach sessions planned for the Energy Resiliency Bank. The chapter lunch will also include a presentation by Tom Gellrich on A Manufacturing Renaissance: The Untold Story of Shale Gas.   • FREE Tour: Atlantic City Marina Thermal Facility
    (This FREE tour is now full. If you wish, you may be placed on a waiting list at Globalcon onsite registration at the Tours Counter.)
    - WEDNESDAY, April 9 / 12:30 - 1:30 pm -
    Join us for an informative tour of the Marina Thermal Facility, a 26,000 square-foot central utility plant located in Atlantic City’s Renaissance Pointe. Owned by Marina Energy and operated by DCO Energy, the facility provides cooling, heating, and electricity to meet the energy needs of the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa. The facility is designed to have an ultimate capacity of 25,000 tons of chilled water, 300 MMBtu/hr of hot water production, and 8 MW of emergency power generation. This site also includes a combined heat and power plant with an additional capacity of 1,820 tons of chilled water, 38 MMBtu/hr of heat recovery, and 7.5 MW of electricity.

    - THURSDAY, April 10 / 12:30 - 1:30 pm -
    Plan to take part in a special tour of Energenic’s Inlet District Energy Center at Revel Casino in Atlantic City. The energy center provides chilled and heated water via an underground piping distribution system, along with electrical power to meet the needs of the casino. The plant’s capacity consists of 12,500 tons of chilled water, 120 MMBtu of hot water production, 32 MVA of electrical power, and 7.5 MW of emergency power generation. It includes a 7.5 MW combustion turbine with waste heat recovery that serves both the plant itself, as well as the casino. In addition, an integrated digital control system is used for optimal operational efficiencies.
