    Join us for a FREE breakfast (Thursday, March 25, 7:30-9:00 am) at GLOBALCON presenting case studies of successful women-owned businesses, as well as discussing the unique barriers and opportunities these firms encounter in the marketplace. The Council on Women in Energy and Environmental Leadership (CWEEL) seeks to develop a prominent voice for women in the industry, and to contribute to the advancement of women in leadership positions throughout the industry.   • AEE Greater Philadelphia Chapter Luncheon
    (FREE for registered Globalcon conference attendees with advance registration)
    Join us Thursday, March 25, 12:00 noon, for a luncheon, chapter meeting and presentation on Smart Grid.

Tours:

  • Free Tour: Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia Microturbine System
    (Advance registration required)
    This tour will take place Wednesday, March 24, from 1:00 to 2:00 pm. The Four Seasons Hotel in Philadelphia, with the help of Philadelphia Gas Works, and in cooperation with Wachter & Associated Engineering, designed the installation of the first 290 kW natural gas-fired microturbine array in the City of Philadelphia. Once complete, with the additional three Microturbines and absorption chiller, the Microturbine array will address 50% of the building’s domestic water and hydronic heating load, 30% of the building’s air conditioning load and 60% of the building’s peak electrical demand.   • Free Tour: Philadelphia Gas Works' Richmond LNG Facility
    (Advance registration required)
    This tour will take place Thursday, March 25, from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon. Philadelphia Gas Works' Richmond LNG Facility features energy efficient liquefaction of natural gas, storage and vaporization. PGW will provide flame retardant coveralls, hard hats and safety glasses. The tour is open to the first 20 registrants. Participants will meet at the tour counter in the Globalcon onsite registration area at 9:30 am on March 25. A shuttle bus will take you to and from the tour site. For more details, Click Here.

This complimentary exhibit hall activity has been designed to enhance your learning about the latest new products, and allow for an interactive experience for all 2010 expo attendees and presenters.
